Bhagwan Das Rupani was born in 1946 in Nawab Shah which is now in Pakistan. He now stays in Jaipur. He started photography in 1965 and sold his first picture to Hindustan Times in 1969. Over the years, thousands of his pictures have been published in various magazines of Times of India, Hindustan Times, Delhi Press, numerous Hindi and Gujarati publications. His pictures have been used by most corporate houses of India for advertising, posters, books, annual reports, diaries, post cards, greeting cards, playing cards, etc. He has been honoured by Rajasthan State four times, in 1980, 1983, 1992 and 2011. He has a passion for collecting and photographing miniature paintings of Rajasthan showing birds and animals, Gods and Goddesses, Kings and Queens, etc. This exhibition is a glimpse of his collection of miniature paintings.
